Profile Subaru is thrilled to be able to bring our customers the all-new Subaru Forester Hybrid in Conway. Releasing in 2025, the Forester Hybrid will bring more choices and better fuel economy for Subaru drivers. While this isn't the first Forester hybrid, it will be the first to be offered in the U.S.
Series-Parallel Hybrid System
The new Forester Hybrid will feature a Series-Parallel system for drivers in Berlin. This hybrid configuration allows for either the gas engine or the electric motor to deliver power depending on need. The system will likely be shared with the Subaru Crosstrek, so expect a 2.5-liter boxer engine paired with a 1.1-kWh 118-horsepower electric motor. A second electric motor is part of the system but functions as a generator to fuel the battery.
What Else is New on the Forester?
Besides the announcement of the new hybrid powertrain, there are a few other new features on the Subaru Forester for drivers in Littleton. One is a new look. The exterior of the Forester has been refreshed for 2025 to offer a more modern look that appears less boxy. An electric power-steering rack is also shared with the performance-focused WRX. The power tailgate can also be actuated with your foot, making loading easier.
Safety and Tech
Subaru EyeSight is standard on every Forester in Bridgton, ME. The camera-based safety system includes standard automated emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping, and adaptive cruise control. The infotainment system for the Forester features wireless phone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A wireless charging pad is also included as standard. The base Forester model gets a 7.0-inch infotainment screen, while the other options come standard with an 11.6-inch screen.
